About Our Partner

FG Gold Limited has been awarded the Baomahun Gold concession project located in Valunia Chiefdom, Bo District, and is currently in the development phase. To support this project development, FG Gold Limited is seeking a qualified individual to fill the vacant position of Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the establishment, implementation and continuous improvement of the maintenance function for FG Gold's Baomahun Project, ensuring the successful transition from project construction through commissioning into safe, reliable and efficient mining operations.

The role provides leadership across fixed plant maintenance, reliability engineering, maintenance planning, shutdown management, asset integrity, contractor management, maintenance systems and operational readiness, ensuring all production assets achieve optimum reliability, availability and operational performance.

The role is accountable for maintenance performance, asset integrity, maintenance budgets, contractor performance, engineering compliance, operational readiness and continuous improvement while ensuring the highest standards of safety, environmental stewardship and local content development.

Lead the Maintenance Operational Readiness Programme to support the successful transition of the Baomahun Project into commercial operations.

Establish and implement the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including equipment hierarchy, asset registers and preventive maintenance programmes.

Develop maintenance strategies for all fixed plant assets, utilities and supporting infrastructure, including preventive, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance programmes.

Implement reliability engineering programmes and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).

Develop maintenance planning and scheduling processes, including annual maintenance operating and capital budgets.

Manage maintenance contractors and OEM service providers to ensure delivery against agreed performance standards.

Demonstrate visible leadership in achieving FG Gold's Zero Harm objectives and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory requirements.

Develop local workforce capability through structured training, coaching and succession planning, and promote Local Content objectives.

Provide strategic leadership to the maintenance department, developing high-performing maintenance teams and succession plans.

Prepare maintenance performance reports for executive management and benchmark performance against international mining best practice.

Other Responsibilities

Active involvement and leadership required to deliver activities.

Support all operational readiness planning and preparation projects.

Ensure successful handover of all plant and infrastructure assets from the Project Team to Operations.

Performance of other tasks within the scope of the role as assigned by the Processing Plant Manager.

Qualification, Skills & Experience

Educational Background

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mining Engineering. Professional Engineering Registration and/or a postgraduate qualification in Asset Management, Reliability Engineering or Business Management will be an advantage.

Experience

Minimum 15 years' maintenance experience within mining, mineral processing or heavy industrial operations.

Minimum 8 years in senior maintenance leadership roles.

Demonstrated experience in Greenfield mining projects, commissioning and operational readiness.

Experience implementing Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Experience managing fixed plant maintenance within African mining operations.

Asset Management and Reliability Engineering.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance and Commissioning Management.

Shutdown & Turnaround Management and Maintenance Planning & Scheduling.

CMMS Administration and Contractor Management.

Maintenance Budgeting & Cost Control and Spare Parts & Warehouse Management.

Engineering Governance and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).

Languages

Fluency in English.
